Is Rather Adventuresome for You?

Posted on Posted in Wife Life 101

Does taking care of your home stress you out and discourage you? Are you lacking inspiration and focus for your daily tasks? Do you find your life lackluster or purposeless? If you wish for a life full or purpose and excitement then maybe Rather Adventure is the place for you. But don’t let me tell you. You need to find out for yourself.

When people find out that I’m a blogger they always ask what I write about, which makes total sense. Like, of course they would ask me that!

But it’s funny; I always feel a little lost to answer them.

Yes, in my head I have a clear vision of what my blog is about, and yes I know who I’m writing to, but to actually formulate the words in a concise package and get them out nicely? That’s tricky.

So let’s answer that question here and find out if Rather Adventuresome is for you.

Define: Rather Adventuresome

First, what does rather adventuresome mean anyway?

Here’s a post that will explain it in detail, but the short version is this: “rather adventuresome” is the attitude or mindset which provokes a person to be daring or adventurous, causes them to be enterprising and bold and make life enjoyable and exciting.

Whether you’re a career woman or a stay at home mom, a grandmother or a newly-wed, being rather adventuresome is for everyone, because it’s about making the most out of the life you are living today.

What I Write About

It’s my goal to inspire, teach, and encourage you by writing content that speaks directly to your needs.

That could be anything from how to clean a funky smelling fridge to giving you a quick 15 minute workout for strengthening your core, tips for relating to and understanding your husband, or how to write yourself a simple daily schedule.

We will talk about matters of the home and matters of the heart, matters about your physical health and emotional health, and of course, matters about the marriage.

And through all those topics, I want to inspire you to make your life an adventure, because it’s the only one you’re going to get.

Who am I Writing to?

I am writing to the woman who is married and trying to figure out how to do this “wife thing”.

You see, she has pictures in her head of her grandmother who cooked and cleaned in a dress and held a baby on her hip while stirring the soup on the stove for supper. She was super woman!

And though she has this image of who she wants to be, she doesn’t know how to get there.

I am writing to the woman who longs to be a blessing to her husband and to look after her household with excellence, but was never taught how to do all that.

She is the kind of woman who has a deep desire to be a woman of character and virtue; to raise her children with diligence and to be an advocate for her husband, honouring him and loving him.

She’s one who knows she fails but wants more than that.

She’s ambitious.

Catch The Vision

The reason I write is because I want for you to catch the vision.

What vision, you might ask?

The vision is for you to live every day with a purpose, a plan, and a passion to be the best woman you can be!

You (yes you!) are created with a destiny in mind. Yes, you have actually been designed with a special personality and special skills to do something amazing that only you can do.

I know you have what it takes to go for that dream, that vision, that destiny that’s calling out to you, and I am here to inspire, teach, and encourage you every step of the way.

So Is Rather Adventuresome For You?

All that being said, let’s see if this is for you.

Rather Adventuresome is for you if:

  • you know you were made for more in life but you just don’t know how to move forward towards your dreams
  • you want to have an organized home but you’re stressed out and don’t know where to start with the clutter
  • it’s your dream to be an awesome wife but you were never taught how to be that
  • you love your husband but frustrations and misunderstandings get in the way of your relationship
  • you strive to give your children the best environment (emotionally, spiritually, and physically) to grow up in that you possibly can yet often feel lost to do that
  • you desire a life filled with peace, love, and fulfillment instead of a life of stress, busyness, and discontent
  • you are looking for tips and inspiration for your role as a wife
  • you want to enjoy your life more

If any of these things spoke to you then perhaps Rather Adventuresome is the place for you.

That being said, this place is not for everyone.

Rather Adventuresome is NOT for you if:

  • you don’t want to put in any work
  • you aren’t willing to take personal responsibility for your own shortcomings
  • you are content with taking the “safe path” through life
  • you “have it all figured out”

If this is you, then you probably won’t want to stick around here for long, because we are working hard every day to learn and grow and improve ourselves!

That’s right!

We don’t want to stay the same. We want to develop our skills as wives and mothers, as women, and make the most out of the life we have, because it’s the only life we’ve got.

We want to become the best that we can be in order to bless our husbands, our children, and everyone else that is around us.

Because here at Rather Adventuresome, it’s not just about you. It’s about your family, your community, and the rest of the world too.

So come along with me and let’s go on this journey together to discover, by God’s grace, the Rather Adventuresome life!
